Tom was the Chief Meteorologist at WTVH-TV, the CBS affiliate serving Central New York. The entire news operation was terminated on March 2.
Tom is back on TV, in a limited role, with WSYR-TV in Syracuse. He still stays busy teaching and providing weather services to television and radio groups, power companies, and agricultural concerns - worldwide. His primary job now in energy-efficiency sales with the Comfort Home Improvement Company located in Liverpool.
Tom is still the region's only Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, a designation granted by the American Meteorological Society after he successfully completed that group's rigorous testing procedures
Tom is an nineteen year veteran of teaching meteorology at Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University. This semester he is teaching his weather program to honors students at Syracuse University.
He is a Baltimore, Maryland native and a 1984 graduate of the meteorology program at Florida State University. Tom served as a U.S. Air Force Weather Officer both at home and abroad prior to joining the Central New York media ranks.
