National Hazardous Weather Outlook for Sunday May 26

A storm system will be in place over Kansas with a frontal boundary extending northeast to Lake Ontario.  There be a slight chance for severe thunderstorms over portions of Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia including the cities of Columbus and Indianapolis.  There will be a slight to enhanced chance for severe thunderstorms from South Dakota southwest to northern Texas including the city of Omaha.  Rainfalls of 1 inch or more are projected for portions of Missouri, southern Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and western Kansas.  There will be a slight to moderate chance for flash flooding.  Rainfalls of 1 inch or more are projected from Kansas, western Oklahoma, and Texas.  A secondary storm system will be in place over Nevada with 6 inch or greater snowfalls expected over the higher elevations of central and northern California.
